We have already showcased some gorgeous contemporary homes from Nico van der Meulen Architects and in Johannesburg is another one of these in this fabulous line of modern residences. Located on the side of a hilly terrain and surrounded by green canopy the home offers some wonderful views of the city below. Sleek and stylish to the core the interiors of this affluent home are as appealing as the façade on the outside.
To achieve this glass has been employed extravagantly throughout the residence to create a seemingly transparent look. With beautiful lighting and floor-to-ceiling glass windows dominating the façade the home blends in beautifully with its green surroundings.
Walk through the long hallways and you’ll reach the bedroom; it’s airy bright and graceful in form. From the bedroom you connect with a modern bathroom. It has a charming walk-in shower (with a wood planked wall) beautiful quartz composite sinks and custom made wall panels to support them.
Interior designer envisioned a flawless work of art by using timeless materials like white oak walnut glass and steel. On a first glance you realize just how well everything is organized and how the custom-built furniture steals the show with its contemporary appeal.
The 120 square meter house was built using locally available material that is both sustainable and planet-friendly. Keeping the impact of construction on the lush green surroundings as minimal as possible wood seems to have been used extensively in the project.
