The 120 square meter house was built using locally available material that is both sustainable and planet-friendly. Keeping the impact of construction on the lush green surroundings as minimal as possible wood seems to have been used extensively in the project.
The deck is accessible through the master suite of the house. It provides a large and furnished area where the owners of the residence can enjoy countless beautiful sunsets. Next to the sleek pool is a series of ottomans that give you an opportunity to catch your breath in between all the fun! Beautiful woven all-weather armchairs grace the remainder of the deck with a lovely dining set placed in one of the corners.
With a rather elegant blue and white exterior (finished in highly durable fluoropolymer paint) the 2100-square-foot home doesn’t even hint at the fantastic interior that you see upon entering. The design strikes with colorful additions that bring life and define the its personality. Everything has a contemporary touch starting with the open space living room the bright kitchen design and finishing with a stunning dining area.
An abundance of colors can also balance the cold feeling of materials used to create the living spaces. For example colorful glass vases accentuated by expressive paintings cut through the cold atmosphere buried in the steel and glass staircase thus lifting the floating staircase to new levels of expression.
One would assume that building a stylish and soothing retreat in a place like the New Forest National Park in UK is a delicate balancing act. Not only does the natural getaway need to be luxurious and contemporary on the inside but it also has to be a sustainable project.
